Trendy Tuesday: Sequins

"Sequins go all the way back to the ancient Egyptians (who also introduced eyeliner to the human race)... They became a fashion hit in the '70s with the invention of the sequined disco tube top."
- Elle Canada, December 2011 issue
I've been seeing sequins everywhere this season. Be it black, gold, silver, or other colours - this trend is perfect for the upcoming holidays. After December, sequins can still be wearable for a girls' night out and date nights. What do you think? I love this trend. I've been looking for the perfect pair of gold sequin shorts this past year.. no luck yet.

  5. I got a silver sequined mini skirt from F21. I'll probably play it safe and just wear it on New Years, but I totally admire everyone who can pull of sequins as an "every-day" look, totally badass!

  6. Sequins really ARE everywhere! I've been trying to resist the trend, but it's definitely getting harder with the holidays coming up - some of these items would be perfect for Christmas/New Year's. I love that Bebe top!

  11. Yesss, sequins are everywhere this season. I've been loving sequins so much. It's definitely a statement piece that turns all eyes toward you.

Btw, the quality of several pieces from the collection is definitely not that great. But the silk studded top is my favourite. Hopefully the stud won't fall off too quickly ;p
Yep, I go to Ryerson. How do you know? lol. Where do u go to school btw?
We def should meet up some time after final exam because this is my last semester. And sadly, I'm going back to my home country for good :(
