Blue and Orange

All of the shorts I own are so... normal. You know, denim shorts, black, shorts, etc. These bright blue ones from Oasap sparked my interest. What made me choose them was the fact that it came with a bright contrasting belt and that it's high-waisted. High-waisted shorts are something I've always had difficulty finding because of my small size.

If I had seen these shorts at the beginning of summer, I would've gotten them in red as well. School is starting in a few weeks and before we know it, autumn will arrive. Time is flying by too fast...

The silk blouse I'm wearing is a size 0R from Banana Republic. A size 00P definitely would've worked out better for me, but it was sold out & I'm a little stubborn. Knowing that this is 100% silk, I still bought it with the intention of shrinking it. In the end, it actually did work out in my favour and I can't wait to show you the "after" photos. I'm not sure if you'd be able to tell the difference, but the length got shorter and the armholes smaller. If you want to shrink anything silk, please do so at your own risk. I might've just gotten lucky with this one. Since I received lots of requests on how to shrink maxi dresses, I'll try to write a post describing how I shrink my clothes.

  2. I like the colour combination. I wanted the Coco shell for so long but it ran out of sizes when it went on sale :(. I'm glad the shrinking worked for you!

  8. This looks so cute together, Jessy! Blue and orange is my favorite color combo!! :) I don't wear it much myself (not much orange in my closet), but does matching up blue and orange wine charms count? :)

    I hate how fast things sell out at BR! I like to purchase them as soon as my size is available and then price adjust later on. : )

    @SewPetiteGal
    Thank you, S! We wanted to try something different and are glad you like it. : )

    @eliz
    Wow, that is incredibly pricing for a simple hem! Maybe it was the material that made it expensive and/or hard to shrink.

    @Michelle
    haha matching charms can definitely count. ; ) I rarely wear orange too. Come to think of it, I can't think of anything else in my closet that's orange.
