My Top 10 Purchases of 2013

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season! I wanted to start off the new year with this post and share my favourite items from 2013 with you guys. Sharing great pieces, sales, outfits, and other related tidbits brings me great joy, especially when I receive emails from you telling me how much you love the things I've recommended. Thank you to my family, friends, and readers for all the support you've given me in the past few years. Please continue to send me your questions/comments about the things I've shared on the blog or my social media. I always try & find time to reply to every single email. : )

I decided to make it an annual tradition when I started my "Top 10 Purchases" (here's part 2) posts last year. It was really hard choosing my top 10 fashion- and beauty-related items this year. I tried on a lot of clothes and experimented with a lot of makeup, but I finally narrowed it down to these ten items. I didn't place them into any particular order. While some of these items might not be worn the most, they certainly made great additions to my wardrobe.

Links to Previous Blog Posts (not all are listed)
  1. Oasap blue blouse - I desperately wanted a shirt in this colour to add a pop of colour to my outfits. The quality and fit were exactly what I was looking for.
  2. Dior Lip Glow (and other beauty reviews)
  3. Zara statement necklace - I started buying more statement necklaces this year to add personality to my outfits. They've been worn so much that their cost-per-wear were extremely low by the end of the year.
  4. Canada Goose jacket
  5. Zara camo jeans - Surprisingly, these jeans were one of my most worn pairs of 2013. It was just too easy to wear them with tees, sweaters, and blouses.
  6. Daniel Wellington watch review
  7. Alexander Wang Rockie - I used to have A.W.'s Rocco bag, but was immediately drawn to the smaller 'Rockie' version when it came out. After selling my black laser cut Rocco (which I absolutely loved and totally miss now), I bought this one to replace it.
  8. Zara pumps
  9. YSL lipstick (Instagram) - I ventured more and more into lipstick territory this year after discovering ones that actually didn't make my lips peel. I love YSL lipstick packaging and found the perfect shade of red for me (Red Muse 17).
  10. Balenciaga Classic City -A black Balenciaga City was on the top of my "must haves" list for a long time. After selling my Rocco, I wanted an everyday black bag to use and thought that this was the perfect time to purchase one.

  1. My wrists are thin but I really like that DW watch you have. Did you have to punch extra holes into it?

    1. I punched an extra hole in it. : ) You also have the option of buying a different strap and switching it up. (Sorry for the late response!)
