Item of the Week: My Little Steamer® Go Mini

Available at: Bed Bath & Beyond (U.S.) (Canada) • eBayAmazonSears

For the past couple of years, I've been wanting a garment steamer to remove wrinkles from some of my clothes. I always thought they came as a big wheelie contraption that cost $100+. When I learned about this little thing (which is under $25), I immediately went to Bed Bath & Beyond to get it. The mini steamer comes in nine different colours on Amazon, but I only saw pink and white at BB&B. Regardless, my intention was to purchase the white one anyway. The mini steamer comes with a little cloth pouch and is perfect for traveling.

The mini steamer can be used on one to two pieces of clothing (or one maxi dress dress) at a time, but it really depends on how much time you're spending on each item. My boyfriend uses it on his dress pants and since they're thicker, he has to steam them a little longer.

When using it, don't touch the steamer to your fabric because the steam will be hot enough to smooth the wrinkles from a couple of inches away. Make sure you hang the item instead of laying it flat because the mini steamer shouldn't be tilted. Make sure you read the instructions carefully before using the steamer or you may end up burning yourself!

  1. Interesting; i've never seen such a small one before. I grew up with the long ones because of my parents' clothing business. Good to know I have an option when I move out. :)
